STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe:

  • The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • One God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality. (Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1-3)

  • The Father is not to be viewed as a distant, uncaring being but quite the opposite. He is loving, tender and caring who loves us to come to Him with our needs and has the unlimited resources to meet those needs. In addition, He receives us as a loving, Heavenly Father. (Psalm 145:18, Isaiah 57:15, Galatians 4:6)

  • The Lord Jesus Christ is true God and true Man, one person in two natures. As True God, He has always existed and was never created. As true Man, He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died by crucifixion, but rose bodily from the dead, lives and ascended unto God the Father. We believe in His imminent, personal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:23, 27:29-50, 28:1-10, John 1:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

  • The Holy Spirit is the designated person of the triune God who bestows upon each believer, at least one spiritual gift along with other natural gifts. He enables each camper to have the wisdom and strength to empower and equip them to succeed. (1 Peter 4:10)

  • All people are born sinners and are in need of salvation. Our human nature is corrupted, and people cannot live a sinless life unless regenerated and empowered by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9-10, 10:13, Titus 3:5)

  • God has provided salvation through the crucifixion and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ voluntarily atoned for all the sins of men by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone. By His grace He offers salvation to all through faith. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:22)
